The Lighthouse Stance...

President's Corner

"Why it Matters to Me"

At Lighthouse Communities we have a devoted, knowledgeable staff; respected programs and amazing supporters. Lighthouse has earned a level of trust in our communities, and with our clients. The communities we serve need a place they can be proud of. A place that makes them forget about their problems. At Lighthouse we use a comprehensive approach in helping the people who come to us. We don’t just focus on the obvious problems; we get to the root of the problem that has caused the distress and provide tools to resolve the issue, that’s what makes Lighthouse unique. That’s why this Capital Campaign is so important to me, because I know how much more we can do with the proposed new location. We envision community rooms that allow active learning. We see upgraded, state-of the art facilities that are much better than we can offer today. We see more volunteers joining us and youth groups traveling here to work in our communities. We know this vision will lift the spirits of the people we serve, and also add value to the whole community. And while we will continue to do this work in any way we can, we feel the time has come to create a center that reflect the great work going on inside them. So, we hope that you will join us in our Capital Campaign and help us to reach our goal of creating a space where we can grow and serve for many years to come.

As always we thank you and are honored to work in such a great community.

During cold and icy weather, the temptation can be great to warm your car up while doing few last minutes things inside the house. Be extremely careful of warming your car up unattended

Green Tips

Put on a Sweater

By setting your home and office heating systems just a few degrees lower, you’ll save a sizable amount of energy. And you’ll make your mother happy by wearing that sweater she gave you last Christmas.
